Jess first met Embree at one of her first hospital donations at UNC Children's Hospital.
Embree and Jess quickly became friends!
Embree was cancer free for a few years and even joined Jess on the TODAY Show when they did a feature about Headbands of Hope. Unfortunately, Embree's cancer relapsed earlier this summer. She's now back in treatment for Leukemia at UNC Hospital.
