Carter Gates is a pretty extraordinary young man. This 10-year-old is an honored kid for
the St. Baldrick's Foundation and he could not be more excited to be a part of such an incredible organization.
Carter was diagnosed with T cell Acute lymphoblastic leukemia in April of 2013, and has continued to fight his illness with a giant smile on his face. He says, "My outlook on life is I always have a smile on my face no matter what."
Cater's sister, Charlotte, will be shaving her head to honor Carter next month as she raises awareness and joins in the fight against childhood cancer. With so much heart and support, this sibling duo reminds us all of the strength and bravery that comes from genuine support, empathy, and love.
